National Association of Critical Care Medicine is association comprising of members from various specialty like Anaesthesiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery etc. The association was started in 1971 and had specific aims and objectives .It was started under able guidance of Prof.(Late) N.P. Singh and Prof. S.D. Gupta.

The aims and objectives of this society are:

  1. To impart useful knowledge among medical practitioners on critical care medicine and resuscitation through publicity.
  2. To publish journal literature etc. on anaesthesia, resuscitation and critical care medicine.
  3. To create interest in the field of critical care medicine among medical personnel and other people.
  4. To conduct seminars, workshops and conference on critical care medicine at regional, national and international levels.
  5. To teach life saving skills to the medical health personnel, paramedics, nurses and lay men of the society.
  6. To serve the patients and people.

The association had been working for more than 3 decades successfully earlier under Prof. NP.Singh, and Prof. S. D Gupta. Since sad demise of both of them in 2007, Prof. U.C.Verma became President of NACCM and new executive/managing committee was elected.The committee comprises of President(Prof. UC Verma),Vice president (Prof. Baljit Singh),Prof. R.S. Rautela(Jt. Secy),Dr Manpreet Singh(Gen. Secy) and Dr Yashwant Singh (Executive Director).
